Carbon Reduction Plan
Carbon Reduction Plan | Peak Commercial
July 2026
Carbon Reduction Plan
Peak Commercial Limited, trading as Peak Commercial
Status: interim plan, pending completion of our first baseline emissions measurement.
Publication date: to be inserted on board sign-off.
Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Peak Commercial Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions across its UK operations by 2050 at the latest, in line with the UK Government's Net Zero target. As a newly established consultancy, our immediate priority is to measure our emissions properly in our first full financial year, to set reduction targets from that measured baseline, and to report progress annually.
We will adopt an earlier Net Zero date once our baseline is measured and our reduction pathway is evidenced, rather than declaring one we cannot yet substantiate.
Baseline emissions footprint
Baseline emissions are the greenhouse gases produced before any reduction measures are introduced. They are the reference point against which future reduction is measured.
Baseline year: financial year 2025 to 2026, our first full year of trading.
Status: our baseline measurement is being completed using a recognised business carbon calculator aligned to the GHG Protocol, applying the Government's greenhouse gas conversion factors for company reporting. The completed baseline will be published in the next update of this plan.

To be published on completion of baseline
Our operational profile is that of a small professional services consultancy. We operate from a serviced office at 82 King Street, Manchester, we hold no premises of our own and no company vehicle fleet, and our principal emission sources are expected to be purchased electricity attributable to our serviced office occupation (Scope 2), together with business travel, commuting, homeworking and purchased services (Scope 3). Much of our delivery takes place at client sites and offices.
Current emissions reporting
As this is our baseline year, current emissions equal baseline emissions in this first reporting cycle. From the second cycle onwards, current emissions will be reported separately alongside the baseline.
Emissions reduction targets
Quantified reduction targets will be set against the measured baseline and published in the first annual update of this plan, with annual interim milestones on the pathway to Net Zero. We will review targets each year and report progress in every updated plan.
We have not published a percentage reduction target in this interim plan, because a credible target must be set against measured data rather than estimated. Setting one before the baseline is complete would be neither meaningful nor defensible.
Carbon reduction projects
The following measures are in place from the outset of trading:
Serviced office occupation rather than dedicated premises, sharing building services and their associated emissions across many occupiers.
Digital-first operations, with electronic document management and virtual meetings as the default, minimising travel and paper.
Rail and public transport prioritised over car and air travel where practical, with client-site travel planned to minimise mileage.
Hybrid and site-based working patterns that avoid a daily-commute office culture.
A procurement preference for UK-based, lower-carbon suppliers as our supply chain develops.
Future measures under consideration, to be confirmed in the first annual update:
Annual carbon measurement and verification against the published baseline.
A sustainable procurement policy embedding environmental criteria in supplier selection.
A move to certified renewable electricity within our serviced office arrangements, or REGO-backed electricity where available.
Carbon awareness across the team as it grows, including sustainable commuting options.
Verified carbon-removal offsetting of residual emissions only, once our reduction pathway matures.
Reporting standards and methodology
Emissions will be measured and reported using the methodology of the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and the Government's greenhouse gas conversion factors for company reporting. The required subset of Scope 3 emissions will be reported in accordance with the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
A full Carbon Reduction Plan prepared to the reporting standard set out in Procurement Policy Note 006 (PPN 006), including our measured Scope 1, Scope 2 and defined subset of Scope 3 emissions, will be published in the next update of this plan once our baseline for financial year 2025 to 2026 is complete.
Declaration and sign-off
This interim Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and approved by the board of directors of Peak Commercial Limited. It sets out our commitment to achieving Net Zero and the measures already in place, ahead of the completion of our first baseline emissions measurement. The plan will be updated, and a full plan prepared to the PPN 006 reporting standard published, once that baseline is complete.
